Honorable Mention Winner

“Bosons”, 20×50″ acrylic on canvas was selected and awarded with Honorable Mention by Raymond Padron, the juror of the Art League’s October 2020 Open Exhibit. My particular interest in scientific theories such as spacetime and Higgs fields has been the source of inspiration for this painting. It is the overlapping strings (white and light green) that are holding the fabric of the composition, like the bosons of the universe. In this piece, I have used raw cotton canvas staining techniques (prior to painting) to achieve richer colors.
