The Art League Open Exhibit November 2026
Where: The Art League Gallery, Alexandria, VA
Opening Reception: November 13, 6:30 – 8 pm
Exhibition Duration: November 5 – December 7, 2026
Featured Work: Cathedral Tree (acrylic and spray paint over a digital sketch printed on canvas, 30×40″)
I am excited to announce that Cathedral Tree has been selected for The Art League’s November 2026 Open Exhibit by independent juror Heather McMordie.
Join us at the opening reception on Friday, November 13, to enjoy several exhibits by local DMV artists — including The Social Vibe, Steve Mabley’s solo exhibition, Little Winter, and the adjacent Gallery 75. I have several pieces in the last two, great holiday gift options.
About the Artwork:
Cathedral Tree is from my Architectural series inspired by nature’s invasion of abandoned buildings. After humans have occupied the entire planet, it’s nice to find places where plants defy human habitats. I also love the organic forms creeping into geometrical industrial objects through corrosion or growth. They also provide new ground for playing with colors. I digitally sketched this architectural composition, printed it on canvas, and painted over it with acrylic and spray paint.
