Inspired by the Western Baroque and a vast range of traditional Eastern art and architecture, this series embodies the same attributes, including contrast, movement, exuberant detail, deep color, grandeur, drama and surprise, to evoke a sense of awe, while combining abstract and recognizable elements as color fields in a contemporary style. The degree of abstraction varies among these artworks, creating subcategories that include or exclude obvious figurative, floral, faunal, or architectural elements.
