My Architectural Series consists of four abstracted or surrealistic themes: interiors with plant forms inspired by nature reclaiming abandoned buildings, exteriors combining ancient and modern architecture, and indoor ponds with flora and fauna over abstract color fields. These were all born out of my Perspective Series through digital manipulations. While making digital sketches and studies for concepts or altering images of my paintings through work in progress, I realized that digital art’s specific attributes are more expressive. So, I started printing and adhering certain areas as collages to my paintings. Then, I began infusing the images of half-finished paintings and adding layers digitally and further painting over the prints. Therefore, some paintings in this series are collages, while others are layered with paint over a pigment print base. They are all one-of-a-kind originals and not printed editions.
Media: Two or more of the following—acrylic, spray paint, pastel, watermedia, collage, and pigment print layered on a watercolor panel (wood base) or canvas.
