This series introduces 3D perspective to otherwise flat 2D abstractions. It is inspired by the rediscovery of perspective by the Renaissance artists and their attempts to introduce it to their paintings relying on the existing architectural grids and the invention of the Z axes. As an element of reality, perspective pushes the abstraction towards a rather surreal look, further enhanced by figurative illustrations in some of the paintings which easily fit into my Narrative series and therefore, shown in both.
