“After the Rain”, 36×36″ acrylic and pastel on canvas was selected for the Art League Art on Tap November 2019 Mini Exhibit. Inspired by tropical nature—abstracting and fragmenting plant forms and forest lights and shadows, this painting is result of intuitive action painting and sketches with brush (acrylic paint) and pastel. I’ve preserved the freshness and dynamic spontaneity of the work by avoiding touch-ups and tweaks. Hence, the name “after the rain”.
