The Pursuit of Happiness from my Baroque series was selected for Strathmore’s 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition: Full Circle.

The historic Mansion, located near The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD, presents exhibitions featuring local, national, and international artists. Its annual juried exhibits are one of the DC area’s well-thought-of art venues, and I am truly excited to have been part of this.

Concept:

The Pursuit of Happiness, 48×36″ acrylic on canvas, is an intuitive abstract painting using geometrical and organic forms as color fields to express different feelings. It pursues happiness despite pain and embraces the imperfections and flaws that throw the balance out—the innocence that is forgotten.
