I was honored to have been invited to participate in the Transformer’s 21st Annual Auction Exhibition & Benefit Gala, featuring Out of Touch from my Baroque series.

The Auction Exhibition was on view from November 8 to 21, with the renowned Benefit Gala celebration on Saturday, November 22.

Canadian Ambassador to the US, Kirsten Hillman, was the 2025 Transformer Gala Diplomatic Chair. This timely international collaboration with the Embassy of Canada was to further Transformer’s mission to advance important cultural connections for artists & audiences. The title, “Everything is Everything,” was inspired by themes of interconnection and inclusivity,

I did not sell my piece at the gala night. Still, I met several of my art collectors who had purchased my art at previous events. I am truly grateful to Transformer DC for supporting local art and artists and for connecting us with art lovers.

About the selected piece:

In this hybrid (analog-digital-analog) painting from my Baroque series, I combined geometric color fields and free-line drawings, reminiscent of etching techniques, generated by deformed perspectives, with classical Baroque art and architectural elements to create a unique contemporary style. The arrogant and rather innocent female figure is detached and largely ignorant of her surroundings, fitting the title “Out of Touch.” I pique viewers’ interest by leaving a gap between what is recognizable and the abstract.

Process: I create digital collages from my analog studies, print them on watercolor paper, mount them on a wooden panel, and enhance them with ink and acrylic paint. Therefore, each edition is unique.
