I consider myself a colorist and all my works pivot around color. But this series is particularly characterized by the use of intense color as the dominant feature of these paintings with a wider color spectrum. Spending most of my life in Washington, D.C., with access to significant works by the founders of Washington Color School, I’ve closely studied their techniques. However, I’ve deviated from traditional colorist and color field styles in my recent works by introducing familiar forms or complex abstract expressions.

Media: All paintings in this group are mixed media – acrylic, spray paint, pastel, watercolor, and occasionally printed digital art used as collage or foundation (first layer). Surfaces consist of canvas, wood panel, or watercolor paper.
