Best in Show Award – Hill Center Galleries 2024 Regional Juried Exhibition

Two of my paintings, Uplift and Revival from the Architectural series, were selected for this highly competitive regional exhibition in Washington, DC by the juror, Amy Cavanaugh and I received the Best-in-Show Award for Uplift.

My Architectural series is inspired by early perspective paintings of the Renaissance period. Uplift and Revival bring a contemporary shift to classical painting and architectural style. Everything is to serve the colors for me (as a colorist artist) and the segmented color fields accommodate that. I’ve digitally sketched the architectural composition, printed on canvas and painted it over with acrylic.
