Minotaur—my first sculpture on display

My very first clay sculpture, Minotaur, is on display at The Art League Gallery, Alexandria, VA.
After firing the clay, I painted it with turquoise acrylic for an oxidized bronze effect and finished with bronze oil wax and graphite polish. Huge thanks to my teacher, George Tkabladze, for his guidance – and for being a great studio neighbor!
Main takeaway: Experimenting with different surface media is key, as the finish is just as important as the sculpture itself.
