I am honored to be selected by the McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) for the 2024 Spring Solo Show and featured in The Washington Post.
Tea & Talk: June 4 at 11am
Atrium Gallery at MPA features my recent Inner Gardens painting collection from my Architectural and Perspective series.
This exhibit is an interplay between artificial and natural, solid and fluid, geometrical and organic, and abstract versus real. Such combinations and contradictions open many directions for the viewer’s eye to pass or float through. Meanwhile, using all elements as color fields is a visual metaphor to awaken each viewer’s inner gardens.
I explore the space between the recognizable and unfamiliar, unveiling the unknown or forgotten. Success in the work lies in viewers finding their unique stories within, forging a profound connection to self and nature. Color, prioritized over form, is paramount, shaping space and dimension and evoking deep emotions.
Please visit any day until June 15, and I would love to see you at the in-person artist talk event on June 1, 11 a.m.
