SUMMARY:Minotaur—my first sculpture on display
DESCRIPTION:My very first clay sculpture\, Minotaur\, is on display at The Art League Gallery\, Alexandria\, VA. \nAfter firing the clay\, I painted it with turquoise acrylic for an oxidized bronze effect and finished with bronze oil wax and graphite polish. Huge thanks to my teacher\, George Tkabladze\, for his guidance – and for being a great studio neighbor! \nMain takeaway: Experimenting with different surface media is key\, as the finish is just as important as the sculpture itself. \nExhibit Duration:  \nFebruary 18–March 1 \nClosing Reception: \nSunday\, March 1\, 2-4 pm. \n
