DESCRIPTION:Where: Hickok Cole\, Washington\, DC \nAuction Night: October 15 (Online Auction: October 15 – October 22\, 2026) \nFeatured Works:\n\nInner Garden — 36×24″ mixed media on wood (Perspective series)\nLily Den — 24×20″ mixed media on wood (Perspective series)\nUplift II — 24×20″ mixed media on wood (Architectural series)\n\nI am honored to announce that three of my paintings—Inner Garden and Lily Den from the Perspective series and Uplift II from the Architectural series—have been selected for the Hickok Cole Art Night 2026 Annual Auction. This prestigious event supports the Washington Project for the Arts (WPA) and local artists. \nMy participation came by invitation\, followed by an extensive jury selection process. I am thrilled that three of my works were chosen for this significant fundraiser. Last year\, Art Night raised $164\,960 for WPA and the local arts\, marking this the biggest fundraiser in 25 years. We are hoping to top that this year. \nHow to participate:\nHickok Cole Art Night is a private event; however\, anyone can view and purchase artwork online! Bidding opens on October 15\, 2026\, and the online sale remains active for one full week following the main event. Check back here for updates—the official bidding link will be posted as soon as the auction opens. \nAbout the selected works:\nAll three featured pieces—Inner Garden\, Lily Den\, and Uplift II—explore the theme of nature reclaiming abandoned spaces. They contrast structured architectural elements with dynamic\, organic forms\, symbolizing the natural world returning to its original state when human presence recedes. Though rendered with surreal undertones\, these works aim to evoke deep environmental awareness and encourage reflection on our relationship with the natural world.
